Too much Foam

The sun has said good night already and it's not even 6 pm. How the days are short! Time is fickle. I know for a fact these next few weeks are going to fly! I only have one more week left at my job and I am thrilled to pieces to say good bye to that place. Things are finally starting to change. It's only 4 weeks until I leave for England! As I get ready to start packing I am overwhelmed with excitement for this next step in my life. I cannot adequately express to you how ready I am to move on. What adventures lay ahead! I hope to keep this soap box of mine alive during my travels. I know I will continue to explore my music world and of course I will need to share it with you all! Here are a few of my faces. I have many.

Alrighty then! That was fun :) So I hope Christmas was splendid for you dear ones. Mine was pleasant. But I'm so glad to take down the bows, throw away the wrapping paper, and eat Christmas dinner leftovers. I cherish the birth of our Savior, but I do enjoy going back to normality. Too much green and red for me. I'm here at Panera enjoying a no foam chai. Yeah, they just left the cup half empty. They didn't add more milk, what kind of hotel is this?? Call me picky (it's the barista in me), but when I order a drink I want my cup full of something! There are too many things in this life that are handed to you half empty. Why focus on the foam of things? Why not replace some of the petty lightness of this world and replace it with deeper, heavier, meanings? Don't just have the choices of being foam/light and half empty. You go to the counter and get your full cup! Ha. Can you tell I'm not just talking about lattes anymore?  Life can be so rich, how cowardly we are for not going up to the counter and getting what we ordered. Wow, I may have taken that too far, but let's be more optimistic shall we? It was a good chai, warming me up on this very cold day. Winter in all its glory is here and I'm not scared. In fact, I laugh in the face of these dark months. Armed with Ugg boots and hot beverages I'm prepared. So dear January, I am not afraid of you. The cold? The gray? Bring it! Hope you are warm and cozy this fine evening dear ones. Stay inside and listen to some good music. I just turned on Iced Earth. How appropriate! This guys are classic heavy metal. Hailing from Florida these southern boys always provide some good head banging material. Also, some good bands on my list this week are Orphaned Land (the best metal band I've ever heard of the Middle East), The Agonist  (some of the best death vocals from a female singer!),   The Man-Eating Tree (wonderful melancholy Finnish metal awesomeness!). So this was a completely pointless post. I love it. Cheers!
